Explanation
too and enough

- too much + uncountable, too many + countable: too much noise, too many cars.
- adjective + enough: She's tall enough.
- enough + noun: We have enough time.

Azərbaycan dilində ətraflı izah
too – «həddindən artıq»
too problem olduğunu, lazım olandan çox olduğunu göstərir:
- This coffee is too hot. I can't drink it. – Qəhvə çox istidir (içə bilmirəm).
Azərbaycanlılar tez-tez very ilə **too **-nu qarışdırır, çünki ikisini də «çox» deyə tərcümə edirik. Fərq: very sadəcə güclü edir, too isə problem yaradır.
- The bag is very expensive, but I'll buy it.
- The bag is too expensive. I can't buy it.
too much + sayılmayan isim, too many + sayılan isim:
- too much sugar, too many people
enough – «kifayət qədər»
Yeri vacibdir:
- sifət + enough: He isn't old enough to drive.
- enough + isim: We don't have enough chairs.
a lot of / lots of
Hər iki növ isimlə işlənir: a lot of friends, a lot of water. Neytraldır, problem bildirmir.
a few və a little
| Sayılan (cəm) | Sayılmayan | |
|---|---|---|
| bir az, bir neçə | a few apples | a little milk |
| çox az (mənfi məna) | few people | little time |
- I have a few friends in Gəncə. – Gəncədə bir neçə dostum var (yaxşı haldır).
- Can I have a little sugar? – Bir az şəkər ola bilər?
a olmadan (** few, little **) mənfi çalar yaranır: «demək olar ki, yox». A2+ səviyyəsində əsasən a few / a little işlədin.
Qısa yoxlama
İsmi sayıla bilirsinizsə (bir alma, iki alma) – **many, a few **. Sayılmırsa (su, pul, vaxt) – much, a little.
