- Can talk about habits, routines and general facts using the Present Simple.
- Can form positive, negative and question forms with do/does correctly.
- Can use adverbs of frequency (always, usually, often, sometimes, never) in the correct position.
Explanation
Use
Use the Present Simple for habits, routines, general facts and permanent situations: I drink tea every morning. Water boils at 100 degrees.
Form
- Positive: I/you/we/they work, he/she/it works
- Negative: I don't work, she doesn't work
- Question: Do you work? Does he work?
Add -s only with he/she/it. Spelling: watch → watches, go → goes, study → studies, play → plays, have → has. After does/doesn't, use the base verb: Does she like it? (not likes).
Frequency adverbs
always, usually, often, sometimes, never go before the main verb but after be: I often walk. He is always late.

- ümumi faktlar: Water boils at 100 degrees., Su 100 dərəcədə qaynayır.
- cədvəllər və daimi vəziyyətlər: She lives in Ganja., O, Gəncədə yaşayır.
Azərbaycan dilində "içirəm", "yaşayır" kimi formalar həm indi baş verən, həm də müntəzəm hərəkəti bildirir. İngilis dilində isə bunlar iki ayrı zamandır: müntəzəm hərəkət üçün Present Simple işlənir.

-s şəkilçisi
Yalnız he, she, it (və tək isim: my brother, Leyla) ilə feilə -s artırılır: he plays, she reads. Yazılış qaydaları:
- -s, -sh, -ch, -x, -o ilə bitənlərə -es: watches, goes, does, fixes
- samit + y → -ies: study → studies; amma sait + y: play → plays
- have → has
Diqqət: does işlənəndə -s itir
She doesn't work (✗ doesn't works), Does he like tea? (✗ Does he likes). -s artıq does sözündədir.
Tezlik zərfləri
always, usually, often, sometimes, rarely, never adətən əsas feildən **əvvəl **, amma to be feilindən sonra gəlir: I often walk to school. / He is always late.
Azərbaycanlıların tipik səhvləri
Azərbaycan dilində feil şəxsə görə dəyişir (gedirəm, gedirsən, gedir), ona görə şagirdlər bəzən hər şəxsdə -s artırır və ya əksinə, he/she ilə -s-i unudurlar. Yadda saxlayın: -s yalnız üçüncü şəxs təkdə.

Present Simple-da 'am/is/are' köməkçi feil kimi işlənmir. 'I am work' səhvdir.
