  • Can describe a past experience in a simple, connected way using sequence words.

  • Can say how they felt about an experience and why.

Explanation

Telling a story about an experience

  1. Set the scene: what, when, where, It happened last summer in Gabala.
  2. Events in order: First, Then, After that, Suddenly.
  3. Ending: In the end, Finally.
  4. Feelings: I felt scared / proud / relieved.

Start with the Present Perfect (Have you ever...?), tell the story in the Past Simple, and use the Past Continuous for background (It was raining).

React when you listen: Really? Oh no! That's amazing! Ask follow-up questions: What happened next? How did you feel?

To gain time, say Well..., Let me think...

Azərbaycan dilində danışıqda hekayəni çox vaxt indiki zamanla da danışırıq: Gəlirəm, görürəm ki, qapı açıqdır... İngilis dilində bu, A2+ səviyyədə qarışıqlıq yaradır; Past Simple işlədin.
