Xəbər dilinin xüsusiyyətləri
Xəbərlərdə çox vaxt məchul növ (The suspect was arrested) və vasitəli nitq (The minister said that ...) işlənir. Başlıqlarda isə artikl və köməkçi fellər buraxılır: President Visits Ganja = The president is visiting Ganja.

- news təkdir və sayılmayandır: The news is good. a piece of news (a news deyil).
- **according to me **, işlənmir! Öz fikriniz üçün in my opinion deyin. according to başqa mənbəyə istinad üçündür: according to the report.
- Azərbaycan dilindəki 'xəbərlərə baxmaq' = **watch the news **, 'qəzet oxumaq' = read the paper.
