Explanation
Nominalisation means expressing actions or qualities as nouns: decide → decision, increase → an increase, pure → purity. It makes academic writing more concise and objective.
Common suffixes include -tion, -ment, -ance/-ence, -ity, -ness and -al. When a verb becomes a noun, adverbs become adjectives and the subject is linked with of, 's or by: Unemployment rose sharply → a sharp rise in unemployment.
Noun phrases can be expanded with modifiers before the noun (a significant long-term increase) and after it (an increase in the number of students). Learn the right prepositions: increase in, effect on, demand for. Do not overuse nominalisation, because too many nouns make a text heavy and unclear.

Nominallaşma nədir?
Nominallaşma – hərəkət və ya keyfiyyəti isim şəklində ifadə etməkdir:
- The government decided to raise taxes. → The government's decision to raise taxes...
- Prices increased rapidly. → The rapid increase in prices...
- The water is pure. → the purity of the water
Akademik və rəsmi mətnlərdə bu üsul məlumatı daha yığcam, obyektiv və «elmi» edir. Azərbaycan dilində də rəsmi üslubda bu çox işlənir: artmaq → artım, qərar vermək → qərar, təhlil etmək → təhlil. Yəni bu sizə tanış üsuldur.

İsim birləşmələri
İsim birləşmələri ön təyinlərlə (a significant long-term increase) və arxa təyinlərlə (*an increase in the number of students **over the past decade ***) genişlənir. İngilis dilində arxa təyinlər çox vaxt of, in, on, for sözönləri ilə gəlir – düzgün sözönünü öyrənmək vacibdir: *increase **in **, effect **on **, demand **for *, cause of.
Ehtiyatlı olun
Hər cümləni isimlərlə doldurmaq mətni ağırlaşdırır. The implementation of the reduction of costs... əvəzinə Reducing costs... daha aydındır. Məqsəd – yığcamlıq və aydınlıq.
