Explanation
Register is the choice of language according to who we are talking to, where and why. Since English uses you for everyone, formality is shown through vocabulary, grammar and structure.
Formal English prefers single-word verbs (receive, request, inform, require, assist, purchase) instead of phrasal verbs or everyday words. It uses full forms, the passive, nominalisation and polite structures such as I would be grateful if you could…. Informal English uses contractions, phrasal verbs, question tags, short sentences and sometimes omits the subject (Hope you're well!).
Use Dear Mr X… Yours sincerely for formal letters, Kind regards for semi-formal emails, and Hi… Cheers for friends. Modern formal style should be clear and polite, not old-fashioned.

Rəsmi üslubda phrasal verb-lər əvəzinə çox vaxt bir sözlük latın mənşəli fellər işlənir: put off → postpone, look into → investigate.
Qrammatika
- Rəsmi: məchul növ (Your application has been received), tam formalar (do not), nominallaşma, uzun cümlələr, would / could ilə nəzakət.
- Qeyri-rəsmi: qısaltmalar (I'm, can't), sual teqləri (isn't it?), buraxılmış subyekt (Hope you're well!), qısa cümlələr.

- Neytral: Could you send me the file, please?
- Rəsmi: I would be grateful if you could send me the file.
