Danışıq: spontan geniş müzakirə

After this lesson you can

  • Can sustain an extended, coherent discussion on abstract and complex topics without preparation, using a wide range of discourse strategies.
  • Can intervene effectively in a fast-moving conversation, holding the floor, managing turn-taking and responding spontaneously to unexpected points.
  • Can express nuanced opinions and evaluate ideas with precision, adapting register and tone to the interlocutor and context.

Explanation

What is spontaneous extended discussion?

At C2 level, speaking involves not only accurate sentences but also developing ideas **fluently **, coherently and naturally. Spontaneous discussion means talking at length on unprepared, shifting topics while actively engaging with your interlocutor.

Key strategies

  1. Extending: Don't just state an idea; explain it, give examples, draw conclusions. That's a fair point, but I'd take it a step further and argue that...
  2. Intervening: Join the conversation naturally: If I could just come in here..., Sorry to jump in, but...
  3. Hedging: Present opinions as possibilities, not absolute truths: It could be argued that..., I'm inclined to think...
  4. Disagreeing politely: I see what you mean, but I'm not entirely convinced., I'd push back on that slightly.
  5. Shifting topics: That's an interesting angle. Turning to the broader question of...
  6. Buying time: That's a good question. Let me think about that for a second., How shall I put this?

Voice and intonation

Intonation carries meaning. Lower your voice to signal you've finished a point; raise it or use linkers like and then..., what's more... to show you're continuing.

Common challenges

  • Forgetting a word: Don't stop; describe it: It's the kind of thing where...
  • Long pauses: Fill them with well, you know, I mean, but don't overuse them.
  • Not listening: Discussion is a dialogue, not a monologue. React to your partner: That's exactly how I see it., I hadn't thought of it that way.

Spontan geniş müzakirə nədir?

C2 səviyyəsində danışıq təkcə düzgün cümlələr qurmaq deyil, həm də fikri **axıcı **, məntiqi və təbii şəkildə inkişaf etdirməkdir. Spontan müzakirə hazırlıqsız, tez dəyişən mövzularda uzun müddət danışmağı və həmsöhbətlə fəal qarşılıqlı əlaqəni tələb edir.

Əsas strategiyalar

  1. Fikri uzatmaq (extending): Bir fikri sadəcə bildirməklə kifayətlənməyin, onu izah edin, nümunə gətirin, nəticə çıxarın. Məsələn: That's a fair point, but I'd take it a step further and argue that...
  2. Söz almaq (intervening): Söhbətə təbii qoşulmaq üçün ifadələr: If I could just come in here..., Sorry to jump in, but..., That reminds me of...
  3. Fikri yumşaltmaq (hedging): Fikrinizi mütləq həqiqət kimi deyil, ehtimal kimi təqdim edin: It could be argued that..., I'm inclined to think..., There's a case for saying...
  4. Qarşı fikir bildirmək (disagreeing politely): I see what you mean, but I'm not entirely convinced., I'd push back on that slightly.
  5. Mövzunu dəyişmək (shifting): That's an interesting angle. Turning to the broader question of...
  6. Vaxt qazanmaq (buying time): That's a good question. Let me think about that for a second., How shall I put this?

Azərbaycan dili ilə müqayisə

Azərbaycan dilində danışıqda fikri uzatmaq üçün "yəni", "deməli", "bir də onu deyim ki" kimi ifadələr işlədilir. İngilis dilində də oxşar funksiyanı discourse markers yerinə yetirir: I mean, that said, having said that, more to the point. Lakin ingilis dilində bu ifadələr daha geniş çeşiddədir və registerə görə dəyişir.

Səs və intonasiya

Spontan danışıqda intonasiya mənanı daşıyır. Fikri bitirdiyinizi göstərmək üçün səsi aşağı salın, davam edəcəyinizi bildirmək üçün isə səsi yuxarı qaldırın və ya and then..., what's more... kimi bağlayıcılardan istifadə edin.

Tipik çətinliklər

  • Söz tapmamaq: Sözü unutduqda dayanmayın, təsvir edin: It's the kind of thing where...
  • Çox uzun pauzalar: Pauzanı doldurmaq üçün well, you know, I mean kimi ifadələr işlədin, amma həddindən artıq işlətməyin.
  • Həmsöhbəti dinləməmək: Müzakirə monoloq deyil, dialoqdur. Qarşı tərəfin sözünə reaksiya verin: That's exactly how I see it., I hadn't thought of it that way.

Examples

  • That's a fair point, but I'd take it a step further and argue that the real issue is structural.

Bu ədalətli fikirdir, amma mən bir addım da irəli gedib deyərdim ki, əsl məsələ struktur xarakterlidir.

fikri uzatmaq və nüanslı fikir bildirmək

  • Sorry to jump in, but I think we're overlooking a crucial detail here.

Üzr istəyirəm ki, sözünüzü kəsirəm, amma düşünürəm ki, burada vacib bir detalı nəzərdən qaçırırıq.

    söhbətə təbii qoşulma

  • I see what you mean, but I'm not entirely convinced that the evidence supports such a sweeping claim.

Nə demək istədiyinizi başa düşürəm, amma sübutların belə geniş iddianı dəstəklədiyinə tam əmin deyiləm.

    nəzakətli qarşı fikir

  • How shall I put this? It's a bit of a double-edged sword.

Bunu necə deyim? Bu, bir növ iki tərəfi də kəsən qılıncdır.

    vaxt qazanmaq və idiom işlətmək

  • That's an interesting angle. Turning to the broader question of funding, though, the picture looks rather different.

Bu maraqlı bir yanaşmadır. Ancaq maliyyələşdirmə ilə bağlı daha geniş məsələyə keçsək, mənzərə tamamilə fərqli görünür.

    mövzunu dəyişmək

  • I hadn't thought of it that way. That rather changes my perspective.

Mən bu cür düşünməmişdim. Bu, mənim baxış bucağımı xeyli dəyişir.

    həmsöhbətin fikrinə reaksiya

  • Let me think about that for a second. Well, on balance, I'd say the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

Bir az fikirləşim. Bütövlükdə desəm, faydaların zərərlərdən üstün olduğunu düşünürəm.

    vaxt qazanmaq və balanslı fikir

Common mistakes

  • I am agree with you.

    I agree with you.

İngilis dilində **agree** feildir, sifət deyil. Azərbaycan dilində 'razıyam' deyilir, amma ingilis dilində 'am' işlədilmir.

  • I didn't thought about it.

    I didn't think about it.

Köməkçi feil **did** işlədildikdə əsas feil yalın formada olur: **didn't think**, not 'didn't thought'.

  • In my opinion, I think that...

In my opinion, ... / I think that...

Bu iki ifadə eyni mənanı verir, ikisini birlikdə işlətmək artıqlıqdır. Birini seçin.

  • I am not agree with this point.

I don't agree with this point.

İnkar üçün **don't agree** işlədilir, 'am not agree' yox.

  • He said me that...

He told me that... / He said that...

**Say** obyekt tələb etmir (say something), **tell** isə dolayı obyekt tələb edir (tell somebody something).
